Nah, Windows Defender is all you need these days.

I see and interesting as I thought that when you got windows defender and why you would need another Antivirus software?

I don't use AV on MacOS or Windows 11. I used to be more paranoid about Windows and installed an AV as the first thing but these days find the built in security more than enough for my needs. Malwarebytes does get an outing around once a month on each OS just for sanity reasons.
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD,
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32G DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD
MSI MEG 342C 34" QD-OLED Monitor

Until the next time.

i use malware bytes.

and from time to time i download the last version of "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool" on the microsoft.com website. and do a quick check on my computer.

i also use virustotal.com to check if an executable (.exe) is 'safe', before running it.

I use Bitdefender Antivirus Free (which really is free) on MacOS and Android. On Windows it's Defender or MSE (which are free). I don't go near dodgy sites so I've never actually had any infections reported for years.

Ah yes that's right, they do have a lot of different versions, but the free is only a virus scanner. They hide the free versions but they're here: https://www.bitdefender.co.uk/toolbox/freeapps/desktop/
