I would say sign me up. I'm sure that the local supermarket has a plentiful supply of popcorn to keep me fed as I entertain myself with all the meltdowns that are bound to occur.
It could end up being just as entertaining as twitter before they started with all blocking of stuff that didn't fit well twitters thought police.

FOMO?  :o
Fear of missing Out.

Twitter becoming a soapbox for the tinfoil hat brigade is precisely the reason I left it behind.

Definitely giving "The Secret Club" a swerve.
You should read the comments on the BBC HYS. I find them amusing at the best of times, especially those that think they are educated.
Someone posting on there, obviously thinking that they were well educated, personally attacking someone on the spelling of the past tenths of spell because they didn't like their views. I was almost tempted to add my own opinion on the subject with, "I suggest that you grab a copy of the Oxford Languages dictionary an look up the word spelt or type the word into google. I'm sure you will find that it does not apply solely to a species of wheat."

Yep there's enough bollocks spoken on Facebook, Twitter and generally online pissing me off, so I'd rather not have it here on a coding site too!  I don't use Twitter anymore, but for Business/Interesting Facebook Groups it's a must - plus friends/family contacts.

Some people seem to like constantly arguing/debating (even seeking it out) like watching shouting matches and misery in the the soaps and other places.  Not like I never 'bite', but it can be a frustrating rabbit hole because some idiot always has something to chip in (and never listens to facts).  Life is simply too short for this nonsense.

Thumbs up for this site heading back to being more of a coding (and related pursuits) site.  Plenty of other outlets for me to catch up on the garbage.

I think I've added everyone that's asked so far? Don't forget to PM me rather than post here as I'm too lazy for scouring through threads :))

I've been asked if there was anyway people could avoid such off topic posts so I thought a nice hidden section would come in handy.

Of course General Discussion is going to stay here and most off topic stuff will be fine but anything which hits the "hmm, not sure about this thread", will be drop kicked into The Secret Club.

So, this tippety-top secret club - I'm assuming it's solely for threads that get posted in, like, General Discussion, but don't really belong?  And that folk can't start a thread in the secret club?

My worry is that, although I want no part of it, all the chat will end up going there and the rest of the site will end up dead.  But if you can't actually start threads there, then it probably won't be a problem.
New threads can not be created in the secret club but only replied to.

So when I put another forge video up... It'll be okay in General Discussion, you know, just to show you lot... But for anything, like, a bit off the radar which can cause a bit of a stir or a bit too personal which some might not be keen on reading, then, thats for the secret bit?

Like, I'm not interested in joining it either really, or discussing the finer and more heated debates such as why Macron has nicer hair then Johnson, or why the UK or EU is to blame for a cow farting in outer mongolia, I just need to know where to put the video of me being on fire! :D
