So when I put another forge video up... It'll be okay in General Discussion, you know, just to show you lot... But for anything, like, a bit off the radar which can cause a bit of a stir or a bit too personal which some might not be keen on reading, then, thats for the secret bit?
Yes, nothing has / will change regarding General Discussion so everyone please post your musings in here as normal.

But for anything, like, a bit off the radar which can cause a bit of a stir or a bit too personal which some might not be keen on reading, then, thats for the secret bit?
Exactly :) So if anyone starts a political / religious / snowflake triggering thread that's deemed way off the spirit of the forum or likely to end in WWIII then I'll kick it into the hidden secret club and if any members want to continue it then they can do so ( PM me for access ) but hidden away from none members who want to avoid such stuff.

I doubt it'll get used much to be honest but it's there for the times if / when needed.

Snowflake triggering?! Seriously?  Maybe that's aimed at me.  It's very obvious Trump supporters, and the ex moron in-charge was the biggest snowflake around! Wow.  So if somebody's being a dickhead, anybody that complains is now a snowflake?

Lol, I don't mean it that way :o

I mean posting something contentious and clearly not suitable for this forum, posted in order to cause arguments and crap like that. For example a lefty loving tree hugging snowflake constantly posting complete crap.

I'm sure you all get what it's for?.... Arsehole posts > Kick > Hidden

Ah well, thats good... So a little request to the ones signing up to run about in gowns, sacrifice goats and all that jazz... No matter how heated it potentially can get in there... Can it be left at the door on the way out... Its just, well, we do all have views, opposing ones, we all have different backgrounds, come from different places, and obviously, that reflects the way we think, variety is the spice of life of course, if we all shared the same opinion, life would be boring... And I admit I am a self certified divvy, and if something spills over, ultimately, I will itch to post, say my piece, and, well, I dont want to fall out with noone, but I do have my moments... But I know life to short as well, I know in about 25 years time I'll be sitting in a big chair in a nursing home, probably smelling of wee, and between now and then, I dont want to spend it bickering over bollocks... I've already had a lifetime of that so far... Cannot be chewed with anymore... I just want to have a laugh and carry on! :)

Absolutely. Once in there if anyone drags it out of there onto the main forum then I'll be getting my baseball bat out ;D

The first rule of secret club is you don't talk about secret club.

Count me out of going in there, anyway. Matty wants to have his loony tunes threads then he can go ahead and post away there. I don't need to keep marking a thread as read when I don't want to read it, because my OCD makes me want to clear all the orange headers :)

I'm sure over time there will be the odd thread here and there that warrants continuing away from the main forum :)

i don't think it is a good idea to allow such discussions. we have seen what happened on the blitzbasic forum...

people who were "friends" about coding, making apps / games / effects / gameplay / ai, etc... started to debate about topics which can only separate people.

it is not about freedom of speech, more about what do you choose to do with your time, energy, attention...

i would not mind if this forum is only about programming, making apps / games (or things related to that)

Such posts are not allowed in the main forum and never will be but if one happens then I can move it out of the way and should XYZ wish to continue it then others don't have to see it. If X member(s) continues it on the main forum after it's been moved then that's an immediate suspension and further repeats will be a lifetime ban.

General Discussion is "Off Topic" so if someone wanted to make a post about some fluffy chickens they've bought then fair enough. If a post is clearly going to be or turns into flame bait then it's moved away from view.

There perhaps seems to be a little confusion about what the "Secret Club" is all about. It's simply there for the odd time when threads would be better off away from the view of other members whereby moving it rather than locking it is more suitable. If a thread is deemed highly inappropriate then it'll still be deleted.

I'll update the first post just to clarify that it's not a free-4-all where anything goes.

Qube.  You may lock my thread in tthe secret club if you wish, I have no further need for it.

Alternatively - may I have my access to the secret club removed please.
