A tune that i've had on loop most the day. Just wanted to share this with you guys.

I've listened to this tune for at the very least once a week for nearly 20 years now, and I still think it's incredible. It's so beautiful, from start to end, especially the last part starting from 5:55

Hard to believe the original tunes being remixed are over 30 years old :/

Was also the title screen music for Blitz created Platypus II.

Ah, c64 remix! There is some really great stuff out there!

I just here the Green Beret part and reminded me of the the Reyn Ouwehand version. Btw, Reyn did the music for my game Revengestar!

I give it 7/10

A better aesthetic tune is fawn of creation remix, pitched down 10% to amp the mood.
There are a lot of c64 remixs that I'd consider masterpieces. Its a rich and mature culture. I'll search the archives a couple of times a year to find good tunes.

It's by an artist called XOR, I remember this one because it came as a demo project with the installation of FL Studio 6 (a music production package). So you could open it and play in real time, see all the notes playing etc. At 4:55 it takes off good.
But I've never used the C64, I was born July '90. So that nostalgic spot in my heart is filled with PC DOS tunes.

I have to be honest, when I played that "Galway is God 2000" 2018 remix that ENAY posted, I didn't really like it.

By the twelveth time I played it, though... I was addicted to it. I think my favourite part is at 4:49, which is a section from the Green Beret theme.

This isn't from the C64 (rather, from the NES), but it's a nice remix and I think it captures the essence of the original well:
