Cant help but wonder about bare metal emulation ideas on this . Cool idea but where's the BLACK edition?

It looks exactly the same!? Maybe it could be retro fitted to make a BLACK EDITION!

Not sure wether to buy and do a pi 400 project?

The problem with writing a bare metal emulator for any SoC or modern hardware. Is writing the device driver interface, as the hardware will be proprietary and require the signing of a NDA. Unless you spend time doing a clean room reverse engineering of one of the drivers of the main operating systems.

I bought that model months ago.  Been too busy with other projects and real-life situations to make much use of it though.
My main purpose with the 400 is to develop retro type games with the machine, hopefully in machine language.  Be on the lookout for an unboxing vid on YouTube from Crazy Scorpion within a couple of months.
