Damn what a sad news!

I'm continuously using his brilliant Blitzmax Vanilla and make living from it.

Some time ago I showed him my game over e-mail and he liked it. I will never forget him.

RIP Mark

Like others on this forum; I have used his tools for decades. He was such a talented and creative person and I thank him for all the time and effort he put into making our coding easier and more enjoyable.

Rest in peace Mark.

no. ;)

Damn, this is saddening.

RIP Mark. I had a great time using Blitz3D, Blitzmax, and Monkey back in the 00s and learned a lot. Like Enay, wish I had the chance to thank him for making these uber-powerful tools that were so accessible. I probably wouldn't have gotten properly into programming without them.

GW

That's awful news.  Mark was a brilliant language designer.  Blitzmax and Monkey have been my goto tools for years.

This is truly heartbreaking news. I had the privilege of working with Mark for a while on Mojo2/Pyro for Monkey, and he couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating. We at Playniax owe so much to Mark, and I personally am especially grateful to him. It was his early Blitz products that rekindled my passion for programming. This is such a tremendous loss.

The reason I love programming is thanks to Sinclair Basic, Francois Lionet, Lee Bamber and Mark Sibly. I had some input with one of the demo programs on the PC retail version of Blitz Basic. I used to love Blitz Basic. RIP Mark, you were one of the great contributors to the programming world and you will be sadly missed

Thanks for sharing, its nice to see Mark's genius getting the recognition it deserves. The power of BlitzBasic on the Amiga was something else, and it carried through to the products he produced on the PC.
