I had a go with one of those AI Video Generation tools...it's quite easy to use

Here's a quick sample thrown together in about thirty minutes from a text prompt.

There's two other videos on the channel which I made to see how it worked.

The videos aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, and they're a bit pricey to make a lot of them - it costs money to make these, and I can't really afford it normally.

The video is age restricted though I put that on there simply because I felt the content was mildly disturbing.

I wrote the prompt for this video using Invideo AI generation tool.

One more.....there's a story to this but no dialogue in the scene:

Wonder how long before you can just give a story outline and have a complete movie made for you?. Will quality games be even possible at some point?. I think the current level of AI content, whilst clever, is still a little smoke and mirrors in its perception.
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD.
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 64GB DDR5 RAM, 2T PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Microsoft Surface Pro 11 ( Snapdragon® X Elite ), 16GB RAM, 512GB SDD.
ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM OLED 240Hz.

Until the next time.

Thanks Qube...yeah it's more of a bit of a toy at the moment than a proper professional tool for real world use.

Or something for putting together a prototype or test of a concept idea for a film or such. A quick prototype to then submit to an artist or group of artists to build from.

I've played too many hours of Space Hulk and watched Aliens too many times...here's another I submitted a prompt for and it made this:

Intel Core i5 6400 2.7GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB), 16Gig DDR4 RAM, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 64bit

matty, I can see you proper directed this, good story and it looks well put together, not used AI but this looks amazing

The glitches add a surreal quality to the whole thing. people morphing from front view to back view for instance. Looks like the AI doesnt know about turning around :0

Matty

Yeah, thanks for the comments. Can't do anything about the glitches or some of the resulting video - you get whatever you get from the prompt you give it. But that back-front turning around thing - I noticed that too - it does that a lot. Suggests to me it doesn't use a normal sort of 3d coordinate system or anything like that at all to do its calculations. It's more like it does 2d morphing between a small number of keyframed positions without realising that any of the stuff is actually meant to be a physically 3d model.

Matty

The glitches certainly do add a surreal quality to it. And sometimes the AI just runs with the story in a direction you weren't really intending it to go. It's almost impossible to control without editing afterwards (which I haven't done - it costs more money to edit).

I am guessing they have a tonne of keyframes of footage from various videos, from all manner of sources, that their system have analysed and broken down into components or elements, and then when it puts a video together it combines various elements, adds filters, and morphs between keyframes to create a final moving image. That's probably the reason sometimes people flip from back to front and other things like that. It's more a morphing engine that morphs between a tonne of keyframes - and adds filters as well. It's a 2d engine of sorts that composes keyframed elements and morphs between them. That's what I think it does.

Anyway, here's one more....

Matty, I just did a documentry, it was great fun. thanks for showing us this. Im not posting because i dont know about copyrite, it says ok, but you never know

Matty

I like the wargaming one you just posted - you don't have worry about legalities if you use the stock footage option which you did - the site says it automatically licenses the stock video footage to your account if you choose that option.

it says only licence at export, I checked usage on stock it says zero. so i dont know
