I'm sure he'll say hello if he's the real Mark Sibly, else Qube will nuke him from orbit.

I've assumed the former :)

Could be someone else called Mark Sibly.
When I type my real name into google. I get a U.K. comedian from South Tyneside.

Dawlane == The real Sarah Millican.

The comedian isn't from South Shields. There're from much closer to Newcastle.

I've blurred out the IP address for GDPR compliance, naughty Xerra :))

Until the next time.

I am sure xerra already changed the shown IP before via developer tools of his browser - and then did the screenshot.

Fun aside and back to topic:
Xerra is "moderator" an thus surely saw the registration IP (and hostname) during approval of the user ... an .nz indicates at least some New Zealand connection.
The coincidence of 2 users with the same name registering on a "subtopic" for many ("coding") is .... almost non-existent.

Did not follow the development of the new library during the last weeks ... maybe Mark just wants to spread the word or offer help/assistance to the old crowd lurking around here and potentially willed to try out things (lib + blitzmax/blitz3d, ...).

bye

Ahh, shucks. I blurred out the email address. Wasn't that enough?

Sorry, Aunty Qube :)

Unfortunately GDPR has that down as personal linkable information even though for 99% of us mere mortals it hardly a house address.

The closest I could quickly find out on your IP was Bayston Hill, Shrewsbury. But as your location is set as Devon then that's clearly wrong and so the IP is probably the location of a BT sub station. I'm sure there are methods to pin this down better but I'm in the 99% of mere mortals for IP hunting junk :))

For me it says via ip lookups:
Harlow or Honiton or London (Colindale) or Ottery St Mary or Birmingham

nordvpn.com says "Devon":

But they are all sure about Xerra having posted from the UK .. at least this fits :P
And ... it shows that there are various "possibilities" mentioned. Without knowing about "Devon" (what Qube wrote) I would categorize the nordvpn information as the same "valuability" than the others - it is just "one of them".
