GDPR madness begins - Google hit with £44m fine

So less than a year after GDPR came into force Google has been fined £44m by the French data regulator CNIL, for a breach of the EU's data protection rules.

I wonder who's next to be fined millions  ::)

It should have been more. Google let the NSA spy on every users' search queries for a whole 2 years before it was found out yet they claim they care about peoples privacy. These big US companies, FaceBook being another, need shutting down, if not by regulators then by fining them to oblivion for their blatant disrespect to the people that put them where they are i.e. us.

I think this is the first of many for the big tech companies and about time too.
