It looks like a giant bagel in space. I'll admit that when they were hyping up to the release of the image I was imagining cool shit. Then they bust out with this. :/
Yeah, I'm old and grumpy.
That image is cool... because it's real!
Yeah, it's cool, at the same time talking about 8 telescopes being networked to turn the world into a giant telescope .. it'd have been nice to see stuff getting sucked in. I know....light can't even escape, apparently.
..here is another one, and doesn't require billions of dollars budget...lol
lmao. ;D
lol
Meh, still required the millions of dollars in budget to view the real thing. Otherwise how could he have drawn it :-)
Seriously though, I love it when we do stuff like this. Black Holes have fascinated me since I saw the Disney movie as a kid. I know you don't want to get too near one but they're pretty exciting to read about.

I had Black hole Wallpaper!
Wow, that takes me back. Dad took us to see that at the cinema.

I've watched it several times over the years since I first saw it in 1979. The ending always strikes me as one of the strangest I've ever seen in a film to date. Can't believe Disney went with it but I'm glad they did.
