Not sure an 800XL maxi would sell very well. I would have thought that their next maxi machine should be something like an Amiga A600 which is not a big footprint like an A500 or A1200.
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD,
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32G DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD
MSI MEG 342C 34" QD-OLED Monitor

Until the next time.

I'm pretty sure the Amiga 600 maxi will be next, but also they do have the rights for an Atari maxi later too - doesn't mean they will go through with it though.

If you use the supplied joystick and are a bit 'heavy handed' you might want to make this adjustment (or use a USB Gamepad).

Any Good? In idea world, I prefer if is was working keyboard to type on as maybe they might do Atari MAXI(full size working keyboard) one day.

I've not bought one yet so can't tell, but adding extra games is a must. I've got the original Atari 800 which has been serviced (capacitors replaced etc) and my own Atari 130XE which needs some cleaning for a start.

I'll probably get one as a modern replacement for when the old hardware eventually fails and as a 'display piece' of the 800's younger Brother. In the same way I have a real Amiga 500 and the Amiga Mini. Then there's the C64 (Maxi) as a back-up of the real C64...Expensive hobby retro collecting lol.

As for keyboard support on the 400 Mini, you can plug in a modern USB Keyboard.
