It's time to vote in the great Christmas adventure themed game competition - Nov 4th to Dec 23rd
Only 3 entries this time around but at least everyone a winner ;D ( next time there will be no debate on a theme as just look what happens :P )

Looking forward to the next competition with hopefully a lot more entries next time.
Spirit of Christmas appealed to me a lot more than Santa because it reminded me a lot of the classic text adventures that I used to play as a kid before we had computers that had more than 16k of memory and where people had to really work to get a game in it. I cut my teeth playing the first five Scott Adams adventures, which is why I limited the parser in my game to two words. This game didn't do that but it worked very similar with the Look, Examine, Take, Drop kind of commands I was expecting.
Santa is a click to move game which might have worked better for me if it could have had a follow the mouse pointer system like Diablo, and hadn't been so frustrating in booting you back to the start position whenever you lost a life - which was too often for my liking. I know it's a dice-throw that decides it but it seemed pretty unforgiving. I got a fair way through it before I just got too frustrated with all the back-pedaling, unfortunately.
