Time to vote in the Mix-It-Up game comp - Aug 25th to Oct 20th 2019

6 brand new games created by our members for you to download, play for free and keep forever.

If you are voting then please do take the time to play each game in order to keep the voting fair and in the good spirit of the gaming comps.

Voting rules :

For the voting PM Qube your top three games that you enjoyed playing the most.

1.. State the best three games in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ( see vote example below ).
2.. You are not allowed to submit any updates to your game until after voting has closed. Only the version uploaded before voting started can be used. *
3.. Voting must only be via PM ( see above ).
4.. You can not vote for your own game.
5.. Members with less than 10 posts can not vote unless they themselves have submitted a game for the comp.

* Members who have uploaded bug fixed versions of their games please make sure the latest download version is linked in the post of your game from the list below ( just in case some members have not downloaded / played your entry yet ).

Vote Example :

1st Title of game A
2nd Title of game B
3rd Title of game C

Feel free to describe why you like the games if you want. Voting will not be shown until the voting is closed.

Vote Scoring:

1st = 100 points
2nd = 50 points
3rd = 25 points

In the event totals between two or more voted entries are the same then priority is given based on placement, for example 1 vote in 1st = 100 points and 4 votes in 3rd = 100 points but the 1st placement vote would win based on placement priority.

Prize Fund £350 :

1st = £150
2nd = £100
3rd = £50

Payments will be made via PayPal only.

Voting time :

Voting takes place from now and will close on Nov 7th 2019 @ 23:59:59 GMT.

Just a thought, and probably a bit late, but are you going to put up a post here to say who has already voted like last time? Seem to remember we were concerned last time about the lack of votes from people and could maybe use a reminder? Might encourage a few late-comers to have a look as well.

I still have to vote ... and to play 3 of the entries but my youngest got a bit ill so I got less time today than I wanted - will try this evening when kids are in bed.

I'm preparing my winning speech  :P :P :P

Did I win?...Oh yes, RemiD said I should write a simple game first.  I did that some time ago before I jumped on the merry-go-round of arseholes that abandoned their languages and disappeared.  I'd upload it but I think there's a Mb limit on uploads to a thread.

Anyway, good luck to all the entries, you did SyntaxBomb proud.   :D

np I understand, the comps are over a short period of time, so unless you have a set of game routines to call on in a language you're fluent in then you're really up against it.  You won't have time to invent the wheel and also get the vehicle moving lol.   :))

But you got a project completed, even if you thought you could have added extra polish...Perhaps another award Qube could add to a profile - "Competitor" lol.

( i am not the bad guy, i am the guy who pushes you a little so you become better ;) (and i count on you to remind me that when i fuck around and find excuses, ok ? ( that i sometimes do ( that's a lot of parenthesis ( i hope that i have not forgot to close any set (of parenthesises ( ;D ) ) ) ) ) ) )

( also i know that i use an old deprecated language / graphicsengine, but hey i have still some great fun making 2d/3d stuff with it  8) )

good luck to all participants! and congrats to those who have finished a good enough game...

the previous sentence just gave me an idea for a next competition :
why not organize a competition, where the participants must choose one of the game submited in one of the last comp, by another participant, and make their own modified version of it ?

Steve Elliott

lol true.  A bit patronising in the process, but true.   :)
