@aLIENHEAD,

Apologies if I've missed some installation requirements, but after extracting your files your game reports these are missing:

The installation reported that the code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
MSCVR100.dll was also missing.

I want to play your game before I cast my votes :)

Sorry to hear you ran into this,  these are some pretty common runtimes but by you getting that error they must be missing. Here is the redistributable  VCRUNTIME140.dll  : https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

I do believe MSCVR100.DLL is included with the ms runtime 2015 install.  If not then this package maybe required for the MSCVR100.DLL  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26999

I compiled the game under x86 for compatibility so the x86 should be the only packages you'd need.  Are you getting those errors when running the game or the installer?

I do apologize you ran across this, I'll include the redistributables as part of the installer next time, as I mentioned those are such commonly used dll's it's almost impossible to find a PC without them these days hehe. but better safe than sorry I suppose!

Thanks for the report.

BasicBoy

Has anyone had trouble downloading and/or running my game (Festive Burglar)?

If so, can you please tell me what happened (if anything), and which version of Windows you've tried to run the program under.

Many thanks !

Feel free to PM me.

3DzForMe

@alienhead, that makes sense. Been running the games within a VM with Microsofts latest but not necessarily greatest iso. 😁 Will play later when back home.
