Uhm ... are we settling to this dungeon sprite set? Aren't there others? Asking as others might be more interested in less "fantasy" (maybe scifi ... or such stuff).

And how to tackle "HUD" (maybe energy bars, or decoration elements), title screens, maybe menu/gui ... ?
Not all are fancy "text menu"-enjoyers.

Maybe give them another "spriteset"?

All in all: if there is a "dungeon spriteset" and a similar "scifi/.../ spriteset" maybe at least let people choose amongst them? Or are you prefering the "one for all ... all for one spriteset" approach?

Having more than one sprite set kinda defeats the point of the competition in my eyes.  Maybe we could have a quick vote on 2 or 3 options and go with that one?

That (pretty naff) sprite sheet kind of limits your options to some sort of topdown dungeon crawler.  I guess the point is to think outside the box though so interested to see what Qube comes up with later.

Never fear, there will be plenty scope available. One sprite sheet ( plus all the images individually too ), one font and no excuses ;D

Lol, I have a good excuse though... I was choosing a new custom Mac Mini from Apple and grabbing a monitor to go with it as I'm replacing my iMac ;D

Nah, will either take it to Cex for a quick sale or shove it in the loft until all the corno crap is over and sell it on Gumtree.

Yes, great to get new tech. Monitor arrives tomorrow \o/ Custom Mac mini around the 13th of Aug \o/ and then I'll grab an Apple Silicon Mac mini as a Christmas present for myself ;D

In the end I went for this one as it's resolution is decent, has a display port & two HDMI ports ( DP for Mac & HDMI for raspberry pi ). It also supports 50hz for smooth scrolling in retro systems like the Amiga and C64. Lastly it goes up to 144hz for smooth OS movement.

Game comp... sorry for the delay which is due to current workload. I'm aiming to get the comp up soon within the next 48hrs.
