The plot is invented: the powerful artificial intelligence is out of control. We will try to stop the AI with the help of an experimental robot.
The mechanics of playing on one button are developed.
It remains to collect all this and make a masterpiece :)

My game's functionally complete - a top-down single button train simulator.

Menu, sound, and additional graphics tweaks to come!

CapeMan is nearly a "game" now! :P

With all good platformers, you kill the enemies by jumping on their heads... but you must be "attacking" them (hold button for 350ms)

Wow therevills, that's a cool idea with the active stomping on the enemies. Can't wait to try it out.

I've finished the end sequence to my one button rhythm game yesterday and I will apply some finishing touches over the weekend.

Thanks guys :) I've spent nearly 4 hours playing around trying to get the controls feeling just right, with just one button it's a challenge!

Darts Night update : AI is in and working ;D There are 6 levels of ability and the AI also knows how to do dart finishes. Level 6 can also do 9 dart finishes but not guaranteed. I didn’t think it’s worth having an AI level that never misses.

Overall very happy with the AI as it covers all player abilities 8)

What is the best key to choose for gameplay: "Space", "Up arrow", "Ctrl " or another?

Is it OK to accept input from ANY (i.e. all) key(s), +/- the mouse button, as long as there is always the same action?

Got to say, the one key challenge has inspired great interest in me and some other members at QB64 Forum including starting a little QB64 forum challenge:
https://www.qb64.org/forum/index.php?topic=4245.msg136193#msg136193

Pete has come up with cute Space Invaders variation that so far looks like the winner at that forum in my eyes at least.

I got into how one might access all letters and digits of Keyboard from only one like the spacebar:
https://www.qb64.org/forum/index.php?topic=4253.msg136310#msg136310

And a guy named Steve got into act:
https://www.qb64.org/forum/index.php?topic=4255.msg136324#msg136324
Binary Select? Nope!

Came up with better method that I employed later in my finished graphics programs and a pure screen 0 (Text only, no graphics keyword commands) which I haven't posted yet because I am shocked the graphics ones are so ignored! Maybe the Crypt-O-Gram game wasn't such a good idea to start with ;(

Now I am hoping to help another guy get a Flappy Bird Halloween version going.
https://www.qb64.org/forum/index.php?topic=4258.msg136358#msg136358

So you guys are definitely having positive influence elsewhere! :)
