Thanks guys, looking forward to turning it in for the competition! Guess I'll have to add an easy mode for Steve Elliott  ;)

Can't wait to play your entries!

No, I'm not talking about your game, I'm talking about producing assets - you said you struggle to do graphics, while I struggle to produce music.

Third party assets are allowed as long as there not copy written and royalty free so no need to sweat it dude's 8)
Despite making a few music tracks for my game, most of the in game music is from freemusicarchive.org [credited of course]
Fitting for that late 90's early 2K skate/surf street and punk theme. No shortage of SKA music that's for sure.
It's a thing that doe's when it don't..

hosch

Oh, I misunderstood you there, sorry. But I will add an easy option to not lock out players with... questionable feel for rhythm ;D

Yes, everything is CC0!

Heavy Tony Hawk's Pro Skater flashbacks kicking in. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Quickly want to share my recent progress on RhythZard. If everything goes well, I will be able to make the deadline  ;)

Indeed, unfortunately I can't take any credit for it. It's an art pack by ansimuz. Art is not my strong suit (yet).

Title screen for my comp entry - Darts Night

Not sure if I'll be doing a work log but thought I'd show I'm working on something ;D

Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD,
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32G DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD
MSI MEG 342C 34" QD-OLED Monitor

Until the next time.

excellent graphics - well constructed, great use of blacks and layout - me Mother (may she rest) would be delighted as she was a demon dart player...
I remember many nights with the team giving support and screeching at the opposing parties - good times :)

Xerra

How have you got the dart aiming system in, Qube? I'm assuming it auto moves around where your next dart would be thrown and wiggles a bit, or you hold down to move the pointer to the left/right and release to then have it go up and down, before you let the dart go with a final tap?

Thanks. Took a long time spread over two days to do the dartboard and darts :o Happy with the results but it wasn't as easy and straight forward as hoped :))

Not quite like that. It's all skill based from easy to hard depending on what level you are / want to play at. The same system is used for the AI players with their varying skill levels although you don't see the process of choosing and aiming.

Nice one Qube, Dart lends itself perfectly to the theme of the competition! Why didn't I think of it?  :))

Instead I am still working on RhythZard. Would you guys know how the game works based on the tutorial text? I asked a friend, but he mentioned he already knew the mechanics from my explanations and therefore would be biased.
