it's been a looong week and I was feeling low and tired  :(

Whatever testing you want done then just let me know. I won't burden you with anything that's an issue at the moment. I'll wait till voting is over and competition is complete.

No probs :) Methinks this particular time there has been a lot of external stuff going on for everyone, everywhere...

QuoteYour game has oodles of functionality and is 3d too boot, Kudos!
I've got another idea now... possibly several...

Definitely, I remember sitting in that arcade cabinet as a kid on holiday.  So many memories.  But the guy was actually a Star Wars Star.  I didn't know that.

I'm not sure equal play time matters.  If you keep coming back to play some over others, while others you neglect doesn't that imply you've got your top 3 sorted?

Sorry for the thread resurrection... just seen this for the first time trying to search for my own text adventure:

QuoteI'm going to try my best at reimagining 3DzForMe's The Big Dark Adventure and I have a question: do I have to put the storyline of his game into mine, or can I come up with a different unrelated story? I've just finished coding most of the draw code to emulate the ZX Spectrum (palette, how it draws to the screen, etc.), and I want to make sure I understand the rules completely before I get knee deep in code and realize the game isn't submit-able.

Thanks in advance! This is the most fun I've had in a while with programming. It feels like the first time I ever coded anything and have it just work... it's odd, but nostalgic!  ;D

Yeah, I'd quite a bit of fun creating a Speecy adventure emulator - as ever - bit off more than I could chew..... awesome fun though!

I'm still working on WestIsBest, just goes to show - just like some real life marathons, even after the race has finished, some competitors still like to plough on.   :D
