After Xerra's game required a game controller for best results apparently I just ordered a much needed game controller to replace my missing XBox Controller.  It's not an official Xbox Controller but it was cheap and had good reviews.   :D

Be interesting to see if it works ok with Validius. I believe GMS 2 supports Xbox, ps4 and generic game pads but not sure how many that carries :)

Apparently it works with XBox, PC, Mac and Raspberry pi, so hopefully all good.

True.  Be interesting if it works with my own Vectors game too.  Currently I'm using keyboard/D-Pad controls for rotation, I find mouse buttons horribly clacky/cheap and inappropriate for gaming so avoid mouse control - even though the analogue movement is of benefit. Obviously analogue control would give more precise control and a higher quality button option with comfort on a good gamepad instead would be ideal.

Sorry Qube I can't comply with this as 'SOME' people only gave bug reports at the last possible time.

These bugs can and will be fixed with a few hours and therefore a fair comment/judgement can't be reached until this process has been completed.

If these bugs had been raised they would have been fixed!

I am not 'crying Foul', but there has to be a little (hours) flexibility given here - or bug reports given proper time for late fixing.
Not: 'ooh a few hours to close, lets submit a whole load of stuff that must be fixed now or i'm going to throw a complete fit and disqualify the entry as not working... snigger, giggle, snark'!

Yes sorry Adam I didn't get much testing done on your game because it seemed like a more in-depth game that would some time to play through (time I didn't really have spare) plus it seemed to run fine when I ran it.

@Adam
I reported issues some days ago. Think you might not be able to have tackled all (as some might be distribution specific, or computer related or ... cough ... gameplay related and so to postpone for later)

@ All
Best thing would be (for all competitors) to put up some simple youtube video to show how it is "supposed to work". That way you could get rid of some "bug reports".

@ Bug-Squash-Period
... I think it does not matter if there are some hours more or not - as they are not extending the gameplay but just widening the potential audience (eg linux/mac version is flawed while the "important" Windows version works) is OK. Would allow to also extend the momentum a game might gat as "new release" on other websites/portals. So any "crashes on my computer" or "stutters when doing xyz" could and should be able to get fixed in the "about a week" time frame.

If Qube now adds the voting page and people vote for it in the first hours (before a lat bugfix) then yes... this could happen and should be "OK". Chances are low nonetheless.

bye
Ron

@Adam, likewise, I'm very much an instant gratification player these days, my new jobs eating up my hours..... Hence no game submission from moi.

Sorry didn't have more time to test.

Adam, i know i came up with some problems and acknowledged that I was pointing them out pretty late. Nowehere did I either throw a complete fit, or say I'd not count the entry or anything like that? What's all the snigger, giggle, snark?

it's been a looong week and I was feeling low and tired  :(

@iwasadam, I empathise, too much computer time without coding my fun stuff to let me stand any chance if WestIsBest coming close to being a game for the dead line, hence my towel chucking in. Still, might see if I can get some grenades into 2 gun Tex's arsenal before May is out.

Your game has oodles of functionality and is 3d too boot, Kudos!
