Regards Tommy Gun.  Looks great and plays well.   8)  That jump sound is very annoying though and there seems to be a collision bug sometimes on platforms, I was levitating until shot.  Turning off the mouse pointer when going fullscreen would be better.

Yeah, that does look a bit odd. I've just got used to seeing that so didn't think to put a bit more tinkering in to fix it better. Because my player image animation is all the same size frames but the sprite is positioned at different areas within it to give it that bobbing up and down look. I tried to jig around with that when I first wrote the player control and ended up with all sorts of collision issues where he'd get stuck in the platforms as a frame moved some pixels into the floor as the collision boundaries got merged. I was using a system to move the char as close as he could get to a collision object based on how many pixels he moved in that frame and then using a loop to move him by one pixel in that direction afterwards to get him literally next to it, before doing the next frame. I had to scrap that and eventually just put a collision area around the whole image area to keep the movement looking how it's intended in the end, which is how he can hang off an edge like that, if carefully positioned.

As it technically could be called a bug then I'll take another look at getting that tighter during the bug fix week as it affects him not falling into the pit traps very easily in the Jungle level as well.

Someone's already told me they tried to play the game in pacifist mode and arrest Qube without firing a single shot and managed it. Scandalous. I suspect the game is a bit easy but I don't think I want it that easy. Not sure that counts as a bug, however :-)

Anyone else completed it and seen the end game screens yet?

Stevie G mentioned a few things he had to cut to get his game done. I had the same issue.

Grenades.
Buzzsaw traps.
Collapsing platforms.
Poison gas.
Mines.
Tanks that aren't decoration and actually fired at you.
Lava and water pits working properly.
I even wanted quicksand and rake traps, where you stood on the base and a bar comes up with nails in. Sadistic bugger that I am.

Still, I got the spike traps stabbing Tommy in the knackers and the electrocution in, so it's not all bad :)

Comp is now closed :o

Congrats to all those who've managed to complete their games. Looks like a top notch outing this time around.

I'll get a list done tomorrow for all the games so it's easier to download them all.

Let the bug fixing week begin 8)

Unfortunately I've had zero free time to do anything substantial with my entry for this comp and as the game is so early days I'm not sure what to do with it  :-X

There are a couple of games grabbing my attention at the moment, with some other very impressive entries too.  Everybody seems to be uploading new versions, so that could effect my voting on deadline.  Every game I've tried is far from broken, so minimal bugs with a real bit of polish.  Good work guys!

You can remove my game from the comp Qube as it's only available on Steam now, for a dollar value above zero.  I know some people have an older copy from gamejolt but it's no longer available there.

It's 4.99 USd.....unchanged.  what I meant above is that it's not free anymore.

Derron

You can tell us later if sales exceed what my fresh 5 years old son can count to (50) ... I hope so, but I somehow doubt it.

Is it still £100 to actually list a game on steam now or did they not go ahead with that?
