Another preview of my competition game. I've done a shitload of background stuff in this now because i've been making a lot more of it configurable for when i set up the proper 20 levels of difficulty. 

The little spaceman running around at the top of the grid is the snitch. That little bastard points out where you are to the zapper underneath you, so you gotta watch out for him when you're playing, because you can't shoot him.

It looks a bit hard at the moment, because i'm also pretty shit at playing it, but that's just because i'm only playing with testing elements over the first 5 levels, so you might still stand a chance when i finish coding the game. It's going to be fast, hard game, though. Just like the original Gridrunner and Matrix.

Looks pretty sweet Xerra   Pure Vic-20 magic.

Talking of advanced things... Does everyone here have at least a 1GB GPU or amI just being silly?

hmm, I'm going to need a fully kitted out submarine... 

next to the generators would be 2 huge diesel engines...

Hows the rules on pre-made shaders? I made a bunch of arcade posteffect shaders last year and never got to use them. Would love to pull them out at this compo.

When these competitions come around, Adam is like that one girl you dated as a teenager that wouldn't directly put out. The one who would let you see a little bit of leg on fifth date, if you're lucky, maybe some brief petting, and your cries for a reach-around were always sadly unheard

I've finally decided to base my entry on 1942, released in 1984... but mine is going to be named "1986"
