Have you never seen classic old Kung-Fu masters? ;D Or the fighters from the 80's game have all grown up :))

I love your profile avatar, Steve. Reminds me of my Vic 20 days so much. Loved the competition pro joystick. That thing was a tank. Could survive any game you threw at it.

I got one for my 15th birthday, I think. Had it for years afterwards. Wonderful bit of kit.

Thanks ah cool, I wanted something retro and gaming related, and in my case it reminds me of my very first computer - the ZX Spectrum. I agree, after using the rubber keys it was great to get a joystick interface and there was only one joystick choice for me - the Competition Pro. It even survived the known joystick killer 'Daley Thompson's Decathlon'.

Mr MM, i'm having a spot of bother trying to play Gorton beyond a certain point at the moment. I am getting memory execution request boxes followed by game exit on Game over at present. That's not preventing me from playing, but i seem to have a problem trying to get past a certain area on the first stage as the platform i need to land on just lets me slip through it, and I land on spikes.

I've tried turning on some and all of the cheats so I can at least try and get through a bit more of the game, but I get the memory execution error whenever i start the game, if i have any of the cheats enabled.

This is possibly a windows 11 thing, as that's what my laptop is using, but i don't have a parallels set up anymore to be able to try that. I'm only able to judge the game up to the point where i've had issues, otherwise.

Dang it. I'm currently trying to recreate the game over bug, no luck even when spamming 'pause quit' as to brute force a 'flag delay'... hoping it's not an architectural issue, never been too good a debugging that, could just be blitz3d being a butthole.

Hmmm if it's clipping it may be due to a collision update lag, I can fix that ..... granted some of platforming is super tight and will kick the character right off the platform if scraping the edge of one.

Can't be Win11 I use a stock acer with Win11 to make it, not to sure how the parallels could cause an issue even on a Mac, but that is new to me.
Darn one of the cheats is moon jump. Odd for it to crash when enabling cheats ... just a generic true/false flag, that's going to be tough one the squash.
Although it may be too late to fix them for the comp, I will try to fix them ... cheers.

It's a thing that doe's when it don't..

Hold on, i'm not using Parallels anymore so it's not related to being played on a Mac. I'm using a windows 11 laptop for reviewing all the games.

Possibly the platform thing on first level is a skill issue. Nobody else has mentioned it - and they must have got further in the game.

The cheats enable no problem. It's just literally the game crashes if they are enabled, once it starts. Otherwise I won't get the same crash until it's game over. I've no idea if Blitz3d is still viable for creating games to work on Win 11 or not, I only ever used Blitzmax back in the day.

@Qube  I was going to mention it in game feedback when i submit my votes but there appears to be an issue in IK+ where after around round 7 (not sure exactly) one of the AI fighters (Green) stops actually fighting and just stands there in the defense position. It took me a while to get to that round, as I was learning the moves, but obviously, once one of those guys stopped attacking then it's actually impossible to be voted out at the end of any round. I did enjoy headbutting the crap out of it as i fought all the way to round 18, earning the red belt and around 80000 points before i stopped as it's kind of cheating the game.

@Xerra Strange that just one fighter stopped. Thanks for the report, I'll see if I can reproduce it and fix.
