Hooked up my old Wii to a 33 year old portable telly, 2 x CRTs going with an hour of each other! The scary output from the Wii requires an old style telly.

Get a Switch OLED model, HDMI output docked and it's also portable. A nice little system with an eclectic mix of games.

I've got enuf consoles and associated backlog of games I'll never get thru as it is, as much as I might fancy a Switch.

I wrote a player control system for a helicopter today. It's pretty terrible and it needs a lot of work. It is, however, a start.

A Helicopter control system, sounds intriguing Xerra!

My entry is creeping forwards, albeit slowly.

@Qube, well my coding mojo has officially been re-invigorated yet again, thanks to Compo 15.

Was getting out for some exercise an hour ago, instead I've managed to squich a bug which was causing my application to blow away.

Just incase anyones using Blitz 3D, load all your images before getting into the main loop, obvious I know, but it was causing my app to blow away.

Its pissing down outside, so its gonna take some next level motivation to go for a ride..... or I could just code some more. Ideal + Blitz3D is just idyllic coding fun.

You can't have enough games, although I wouldn't have time for the more in-depth games; I have at least began to play more games lately. Games like Mariokart 8 Deluxe and Metroid Dread are great to pick up and play.

@Steve, yeah - I dipped into WWE 10 on the Wii (very briefly yesterday...) not much depth there but good old fashioned head stamping fun :)

QuoteMariokart 8 Deluxe
Theres a driver for a Switch if ever there was one.

Fort Block inspired me to make my own variant of Fort Block esque game - albeit with an Articulated JV-ODE rig instead of a Mario Kart!

Now that's game dev! :)  I think I must of used that combination for 8 yrs straight. Well moved up to Protean editor or was it called Blide.. I forget which been awhile.

No drag and drop + compile here ! :)

3DzForMe

Yep, Protean was a good IDE for Blitz 3D, but Ideal is, and always will be the mutz nutz  :D

Block commenting is such a great feature of Ideal.

Also, the project feature is great for multiple files. Now I've dusted of my memory, I did use Protean for a long while also.

Scaremonger

My entry is not going well. I got most of the core functionality done to test gameplay and it doesn't really work (it's a bit dull), so I've stalled for the moment and I've been rewriting my 2013 Behaviour Tree module instead until I get some inspiration.

Alienhead

Just spent 8 hrs modeling, rigging and animating a cockroach, all for a 3 sec appearance in my game :(

You sound as bad as me for spending too much time on silly little things :))

If..... I get my project finished in Blitz3D, might try to port it to AGK. Although, I'll have to complete it in blitz 3d first though  :o

MrmediamanX

Just went full blast on my game, almost finished with only 2 more levels left out of 10.
I'll most likely upload on Halloween if I can.
It's a thing that doe's when it don't..
