Maybe create a slot machine with viruses on the wheels .... or vaccines.
Instead of coins you insert "life points".
... you know, the bank always wins.
(do not feel offended)

But - slot machines are for me -- as much interesting as a "coin flip"-game, never trusting the "hold" to actually hold exactly WHEN+fixedTime after you pressed.
As mini game in a "more complex" game yes - nice "distraction".

Well that was the idea for the one I built for Nags Heed Darts, I was going to have it where you won money as you progressed through the opponents in the tournament mode, which you could use on a bandit... Just a natural thing as it was based in a pub. I doubt I'd ever make another one.

I've just had a look at some CD's, here's a golden oldie I was going to chuck on iOS (But, erm, never! :D), the auld faithful known as Croco Magneto (Attached)

For those that dont know it, move ball up and down, collect box things, dodge green things... Seems like I never put sound in at that point, but, the meat of the game is there!

God knows where the source has gone mind! :D

a "pub game"...
You might better evolve it into some "RPG-minigame" thing :)

Different pubs - different opponents.
Start with an "unsteady hand" (hard to hit the desired areas on the darts board)
Start with an "rebellious stomach" (hard to drink enough beer with lurking-around dudes so they agree to play versus you)
Earn XP in games which you can invest into "constitution" (beer) or specific sport skills ("steady hand" -> darts, "logic" -> billards, "eagle eye" -> slot machines)

Your mission? Master all the pubs, take part in official championchips (billard, dart, ... beer pong :D)

Oh, I did finish it Ron, had it on the app store, sold very well actually, made me a few beer tokens that one! :D lol

I'm quite enjoying looking at old stuff I've done, got odds and ends, little prototypes... Missing heaps though... Probably got chucked out when I got divorced! :P Hehehe
