Description: I'm working on a voxel engine that can handle 1,000^2 cubes (256^3 voxels each) without lag. The engine handles volumetric water (you can see it diffracting objects below the water line) and terrain generation through height maps. Coming soon: Heavy 'vegetation' covering the landscape that can wave in the wind, volumetric lighting, and a lot more! This is all done in regular vanilla BlitzMax. Once I have more voxel assets to work with, I'll show some more! Eventually this will be a massive RPG/Adventure/Platformer similar to the old Jak and Daxter game for PS2. https://youtu.be/yWaVaXhG58U https://youtu.be/AdTxCvzESWo https://youtu.be/HVsxiB3wM5c Picture Stats: Views: 20055 Filesize: 201.84kB Height: 780 Width: 848 Posted by: Blainiac at September 22, 2017, 17:30:45 Image Linking Codes
