I am with Qube here. Actively fishing users on some elses forum is morally questionable. He did a similar thing on the CX board too.

Sorry Mike, but not at all. I'm actually leading CX users from here to your board..

Though it is questionable why I'm not into CX and still working with old MX, that's fair. It was really my intention to fork Monkey-X and go the other way since I started here. The new site was not really part of the plan obviously, but I'm still glad I did it and it's finally there.

I miss the old site even though I was only a constant forum watcher there and have not participated when I was into Blitz stuff and just digging through the archives.

I'm an active user there (CX) with interest mainly in Vortex since it still supports Monkey-X, thankfully.

I did help and was responsible in discovering the animation bug, hopefully it gets fixed soon and I still try to offer some help btw. I got back using MiniB3D-MX and now what also keeps me busy these days is trying to complete my MX project and not any of this promoting stuff. That's all.

Hardcoal asked the question, I just happily replied with the right answer as it seems.

Sounds promoting, maybe, but let's leave it up to him since the main topic is what got this started in the first place.

cheers.

My specific issue is with you promoting your site about 8 times within two months and not about this one post. It does not need twisting to be about this one post alone. I have no issue with this one post alone.

If you are honest with yourself then I think you'd agree that if anyone were to do the same on other forums they that they too would not be too pleased if a member promoted their own forum 8 times in two months ( in whatever fashion ).

This thread is a valid promotion. It just happens to be part of a number of posts you've made over the last couple of months to push / promote / get members to your site. That is how I see it, simple as that.

With all that said...

If tomorrow someone asks about a blitz specific site ( like this thread ) or it's something you offer that we don't then by all means post about your site or another site that does. All I'm asking is to please watch your general posts don't come across as self site promotion / fishing for members etc.

Hope you can see it from my point of view and more importantly it doesn't effect you posting here or cause any inter-forum issues :)
Mac Studio M1 Max ( 10 core CPU - 24 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD.
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM 1T PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Microsoft Surface Pro 11 ( Snapdragon® X Elite ), 16GB RAM, 512GB SDD.
ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM OLED 240Hz.

Until the next time.

I do Agree that flooding Aint the Right approach :)

When I got started, I immediately took care of a few things like bringing back up GNet and getting the final license from Flow3D. I have to post there and link it here, since the site exist to have these objectives and not just putting up random content.

Something like, "hey, I/we did this as this is one of our goals in bringing back Blitz3D/Max interest", among other planned things. If that comes across as flooding/promoting, then I do apologize for sending the wrong message. That's all.

Don't want to argue about it, but this post below proves my point. You could have posted that code in that topic on the CX forum, but for obvious reasons you didn't.

I was just trying to help that guy and just so happens I was looking also for an image async loading routine and posted it first in the archives. You can see the first one failed as he was looking for another version. I tried helping him again and searching for the right one and ended up pointing to the wasted.nz site.

If you think that's promoting by just giving out a link instead, then sorry you got the wrong idea there. That's all.

Don't worry, won't happen again.

@Qube
Yeah why not  :)

Hello, I am only an ordinary reader in this forum. I have some opinions. Forum is a place for discussions.

Therefore, I have two suggestions for member's signature....

1. Signature cannot contain URL of any kind of webpage, because forum is not for advertisements.

2. Signature cannot contain any graphic, because graphic disturbs readers when readers are reading posts.

Thanks a lot.

Hardcoal

Im sure glad you dont manage this forum :)
