Its on its way .......

Nothing to show just yet but i am in collaboration with Midimaster , who is helping me with some of the midi code (its not my forte just yet ) but i am learning a little

for those that don't know about "Software Technology - Breakthru 1 / 2"

i will post a video later showing its 80's-00ties glory

No one has converted this - but many people used it but since time has moved on sequencers like cubase cakewalk and others took over and left these classic for dust.

Its now with new software this can be achieved for the novice programmer,
my last 2 projects have been a dodle to do MicroRhytm was fun to create and SpecDrum 2 was my initial project and thats almost at the end.

So its time to move on to a new project and thats why i have chosen this.

I hope when its finished it gets used

features

32 tracks - 16 channels of midi
4 sample tracks each track can be mono or stereo
step editor and live recording
keyboard (for the step editor )
jukebox page to load in a playlist of songs
Main page to play the songs
editing features ( cut , copy, paste, tidy block , Quantize
midi features Midi in / Midi out / Midi thru , Sysex Load and Dump
Diamond Editing (each note with have a menu on right click so you can edit each note)

I think for now that will keep me busy :)

cheers

Very nice. ;)

Im trying to release a demo of Blitzmax C64 playing SID music. Unfortunatley using banidcam my system bogs down and slows when recording to much! Any ideas? ::)

I use the windows capture tool snipping

It captures audio and mic and let's you define your screen capture size

Well done. There's some colour on that screenshot, but I always loved how things looked in high res b&w on the ST monochrome monitor.

well yes the tails for the velocity are in red and the rest in the atari st monochrome colors we are just toying with it but we are piecing it together nicely .

we are just working on the midi notes and getting them set and next working on the code for the timings for the clock to sync with the song and time sig and tempo , its early days and so much to do

I have taken on a bit to much to chew as they say , but working along side MidiMaster , is amazing there are techniques in the code i never knew could exist , so basically for me going from old Skool to this has really opened my eyes.

I have even used the Atari ST System font to emulate it as close to the original as i can.

Might Post a vid soon

Will Keep You All Posted :)

With us emulating a 16 bit piece of software in blitzmax NG is amazing and the original was written in C++ and machine code

so for us to take this on is a real challenge , but once we get (as i call it) The Engine running all the other screens are self explanatory, and will work around the main engine.

More to come :)

there maybe a little color in places , i know the monochrome aspect is a lot clearer but the little noticeable things are good

update .....

we are currently working on the midi grid and notes alignment and stuff we are moving along nicely

we have just implemented the scrollbars for the octave and a few more tidy ups

Main program code is under 80 lines of code at the moment

more pics soon :)

We are trying to keep it as close to the original as possible

Production is coming along nicely

We have added the time signature ,the timeline ruler and start and end locators

It's looking very good ,I am very impressed the way it's turning out
