Hi guys,
Do you mind if I ask what kind of models you are using. I have in the last few days started off with MD2, and they are great...I'm having a blast, but I can't find very many of them anywhere on line at all..
Are you using MD2 or 3ds?... and by chance would you know any good sites to get them from.
Ohh..sorry to spunge here but there is no better place to ask!... do you guys use Milkshake3d to animate them?, or is there something better?.
Cheers guys!.

if you want to do some tests, you can download the humanoid rigged skinned animated mesh (b3d) shown in the screenshots above, here : https://www.syntaxbomb.com/index.php/topic,4353.0.html"

there are many 3DS and OBJ files floating around the web, and they are the most common I use in my originals done with AC3D & Curvy3D.
Bringing them in Blitz I usually convert them to B3d format.

Kippykip

I use .B3D files and export them using Milkshape 3D.
For complicated models I use DeleD CE with the .MS3D exporter (since the deled .b3d exporter doesn't support animations or textures)

I use .3ds but its a very old format (msdos era) and has several major limitations. Useful if you're making a retro game or only need a very simple mesh.

The B3d format is the best way to go if you want the most features.

GrindalfGames

I use .X files, all made in Deled for my grimoire of worlds

Naughty Alien

..im using it with 3dsmax --> AGK

RemiD

for Blitz3d, the best is .b3d, because of the support of joints ("bones"), skinned vertices, animations...

GrindalfGames

Also .b3d are much smaller files than .x
