Well I've come to the conclusion that for me blender is better mainly because it is great for modeling and animation which wings3d sadly lacks .
I think if somebody wanted to take there first steps in modeling then wings3d might be a good option although in another way why bother when you can skip that and spend a few days getting to know blender . Have a most excellent day. May the force be with you.
That is the point completely when it comes to Blender. Just spend a few days, heck even a few weeks, learning how to use it, then you're done, and you are able to use a 3D software that is free forever. No 3D Studio Max, Maya, etc. It can all be done in Blender.

So, yes. Sacrifice a few weeks of your life to learning the basics of using blender, and it will pay off, I promise.
