Well here is a list of the software I use with AppGameKit Studio.
Blender
Audacity
mtPaint
Resource Hacker
Hook Folder Locker
7zip

So an extra 6 programs I had to get comfortable with.
mtPaint is very simple but does what I need .
Blender is going to take a couple weeks of practice to get going with, at first I hated it now I love it.
Resource hacker I use for changing the icons on my folders.
7z is for packaging
Hook Folder Locker is for a little protection of my media file.
Audacity for my sounds although I did buy a sound pack from TGC which is not bad.
There we are all the programs here are free.

I second mtPaint, a good not overly complicated graphics application.

Also cross-platform and open source too!

-fragmotion to make 3d models ( modeling, uvmaping, rigging, skinning, animating )
-photofiltre 7 to make 2d images / textures
-wavepad editor to edit sounds

I have been using mtPaint for a long time and the only complaint is no basic shapes, but it's still very nice and simple and gets the job done. I've tried a few programs like mtPaint but just didn't take to them.

Hey I took a look at Paint.net but I still like mt.paint  the best because it is really easy to use as I've used it for years. Learning new anything for me right now is a no go if I can possibly help it.
The way I see it is 2025 is gonna be a year to produce and keep any additional learning to a minimum. I really feel like I never want to see a new language again and just make some nice apps games or whatever with what I have and can use. #Merry Christmas.

Whether making games or some other sorts of programming I think AGK S is a good choice for the next few years. Somethings I believe it cannot do are building an operating system and a computer language but I do not think that matters as I never intend to do either of those anyway. I have started my latest game and this is gonna be great. I am actually excited about this. I'm still enjoying coding and the better I get the easier and more rewarding it becomes. It's a win win situation. This is way better than learning a new language (using what I already know).
