You should have one topic. Let's say "Current deal on AGK" and update that if you discover a deal. Same with your relationship with the different languages out there. Have one topic "What Programming Language is the most ideal?" and update that one. Creating a new topic every time the wind blows from a slightly different direction creates lots of unnecessary "waste" topic.

£49.20 today on Steam folks. 6/1/2025
The AGK Basic is very easy if you've used BASIC before and is used along with their commands which I have not counted as there's too many but if somebody knows the answer that would be cool. Have a nice day.

Or you could download the source code from Github and build it for free ^-^

I think you still have to own a license to "legally" compile the source for yourself?

I'd wait for a better sale price, especially as AGK Studio is just in maintenance mode and no longer in active development. Also Linux support has been dropped along with HTML5 (I believe) and iOS hasn't been updated in a while either so I doubt that still works?

I really wish that someone with the skill could properly take over AGK and put it back into active development. Such a shame that Paul Johnson left TGC as he was the main guy behind AGK.

I'm still using AGK and will be doing until it no longer runs on MacOS which hopefully is a very long time away. I think at some point I'm going to have to figure out how to compile it for MacOS and learn enough to keep it working should the time come :-\
Mac Studio M4 Max ( 14 core CPU - 32 core GPU ), 32GB LPDDR5, 512GB SSD.
Beelink SER7 Mini Gaming PC, Ryzen 7 7840HS 8-Core 16-Thread 5.1GHz Processor, 64GB DDR5 RAM, 2T PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Microsoft Surface Pro 11 ( Snapdragon® X Elite ), 16GB RAM, 512GB SDD.
ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM OLED 240Hz.

Until the next time.

I've been working on both the Studio and Classic Repos for the last 8 months or so but unfortunately not a lot of other people have shown any interest in them, it's even proven difficult to get people to test the updates I have made. I've learnt a lot about how AGK works but unfortunately with little community feedback it has been difficult at times.
I don't believe you need a license to download either repo and use it for your own personal use. The main restriction is that you can't sell it. I do have permission from Lee to release updates for Classic via github or using an installer as long as I don't make money
from it.

I doubt that anyone from TGC will work the Repos in the future sadly.

I'm gonna stick with AGK Studio for as long as it is practical. Could be 2 or 5 or ten years we shall see.
It's a bit like we are no longer buying into the future. I really do not have the brains to be of any help
with the repo. Building it seems like an ordeal too I have looked at it and I think most people would
think "you have gotta be kidding"  and would sooner buy it. Your efforts are amazing with this and thanks for your hard work. You could make them an offer and buy it.

An exe would be good but I see that cannot happen.

I can't release a binary of Studio as it's still a commercial product however I do have permission to release a binary of Classic though which is my preferred version anyway. Lee and Mike have been really helpful with getting the Classic repo working and I still have some newer source code to upload to GitHub.

That is great and a reassurance I haven't used classic in a while and personally prefer Studio. Media at a glance is nice as is Vulkan which I have had no problems with.
