Hi I downloaded the educational pack for AGK Classic and it looks really good. You build ten games and by the time you have finished You will have learned enough to fly. I would really like to put this on the forum but not sure if it is possible. I started from scratch more or less and my first game took about 6 to 8 weeks of hard slog. I would of probably learned a lot more by using the educational pack. I would like to share it but I don't know where to put it. It was free but still copyrighted. If you own AGK classic on steam you can retrieve it. It's installed in / Programs(86), steam, steamapps, common,  AGKclassic, DLC , educational pack.
You can copy the education pack to where you want. What you learn from this should be more or less the same as AGK Studio and I think it would be invaluable to someone starting out with AGK .  I have been aware of this pack for years but for some reason I thought it was just for teachers, it never dawned on me that it would be useful to me or someone starting out. There we are, foolish one I am.

I agree the educational pack is well worth having. It may be worth a try to email TGC to see if they will provide a link to it.

Yeah I will do that and see what they say. I have it and from what I have looked at I think 6 months of Educational Pack would be a years worth of hard work self teaching (at least). I think I'm gonna take a long read of it later. One thing I have realized is that what ever language you choose it will only be as good as the documentation. Here AGK S scores highly.  I was trying to learn Lua but as far as the documentation goes I feel it falls short on this, AGK studio is very good in this respect no need for any books as it's all there. This with the educational pack would be a very good start.
        Happy coding
