No because they're making improvements to the original board and adding a power switch; so they're using this time to also take extra orders.  After a test run of the new boards they'll go into production in January, for both the original Kickstarter Backers and the new orders via the shop.

Nope. Glad I didn't cause I damaged my car which will require some repairs which will cost me about 1000-2000 euros. Hit a pillar while parking out in a public garage. The paint job on the back bumper isn't the unknown but the body got a hit too to my surprise. Got visible the next day. 2020 can kiss my ass.

Yes I like it, as it runs old originals, plus allows more to do, but I would like to see it for sale on proper retail like amazon .

I cant believe they are not doing this on a big scale, half the world wants a new Speccy. I would buy two, even a third after a year.

Not gonna happen, while 'The C64' has a fantastic replica C64 keyboard and joystick, it's basically an 'emulator box' so you can't plug in cartridges or peripherals - so it can be made far far cheaper.

The Spectrum Next is a real computer that you can plug in old or new peripherals.  It's 100% compatible with all ZX Spectrum software *and* hardware, so you can plug in micro drives and such.  It then has 3 sound chips, 256 colours, copper chip, hardware scrolling, hardware sprites, 3.5/7/14 or 28Mhz speed modes and so on.  So while you can code on it like an original ZX Spectrum, you can also use the new features.
