EA not content with the award of worst company in the world. They are currently on course for having for having the most down voted entity in the whole of the Internet LOL.

623000 downvotes at time of posting. And many youtubers covering this.
In theory, you need to play the game (just play the game and not be skillful) for about 40hours, JUST to unlock Darth Vader, not even to start upgrading. You're looking at 150 hours just to unlock al the characters and again, not upgrade anything.

OR

You buy the microtransactions and get them straight away....

Its horrific... Like I said on SoCoder, our government is picking on gambling machines in bookies, which are terrible machines in their own right... But this is worse then that IMO!

Yes, I've also heard that this is actually WORSE than gambling.

In gambling you either WIN or LOSE. With loot boxes you always win something but 95% of the time it's worthless crap. In almost all types of gambling, especially card games, the odds are indeed against you, but there is an element of skill, and play, you can increase your odds even if the odds are against you.
In loot boxes, whether you win or not is all based on a server manipulating the data. The fact you have things like double bonus time to increase odds over certain days or events proves that the data is being mass controlled by the corporations.

I've worked on a couple of gambling applications and the percentage odds of gambling. I know how awful this shite is. I don't think it's too long though before the law steps in and regulates this stuff, the sooner it comes the better. They need to put 18+ age ratings on these kinds of games. That would stop loot boxes in their tracks straight away. Hahaha.

Needs to reach 842,000 votes to knock Justin Beiber off the top spot.

Currently at 628,000.

Disgusting behavior, and yes definitely needs to be regulated.

Plus, that is the whole point of games (to be a challenge) that you overcome and have a feeling of satisfaction - not simply buy your way through a game!

I'm all for regulating the gambling stuff, I just hope that they don't drag everybody else down with them.

Removing the refund button. LOL! Is that even legal?

[edit]
My god, it seems worse than I thought. they even put a wait time on earning credits on offline arcade mode... Like a mobile game.

Sorry to resurrect my old thread, but just heard from Metacritic.

Star Wars BattleFront 2 PS4 MetaCritic rating : 0.09 out of 10.

http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/star-wars-battlefront-ii/user-reviews

1 out of 10 would be bad. But this is literally, 1 out of 1 out of 10.

Rooster

I guess EA's patting themselves on the back right now for a job well done. :P

Looks like EA have removed the refund button from their preorder thingy:-

All that caused is now everyone is refunding via the support page instead.

Cherry on the top. It's a buggy mess. LOL. This review was savage, very strong language from the start.

I wonder if they'll bring back the original way of playing games using micro-transactions = the original arcade game.
They should release the game for free if they want to include micro-transactions - at least they'll get less hate for it.
